 This Horizon Scan summarizes the available information regarding hearing restorative devices for improving cognition or delaying disease progression people living with dementia.
 Hearing loss is 1 of largest modifiable risk factors Evidence effectiveness to improve in dementia still evolving. However, individuals without dementia, managing may prevent cognitive decline long term.
 Early evidence suggests that aids be a cost-effective intervention preventing Barriers access such as high out-of-pocket costs, equitable health care, and low utilization even general population are issues consider. If indeed prevents decline, if they accessible only those financial means pay this could exacerbate systemic inequities.
